Even though Apple has finally improved the native connectivity of its all-new redesigned 2021 MacBook Pro, the included HDMI port is unfortunately not completely up to date, which results in certain limitations when connecting the laptop to an external display or monitor.

They come with 3 Thunderbolt 4 ports which can take HDMI 2.1 with dongle, so even for those rear cases a 2.1 port is needed, your covered. Yes it's silly puting a 2.0 port on this, but it's not a problem.
Lol, there is something very wrong with you Apple users, seriously.
Ha, no hdmi 2.1 on a machine with a new 120hz display and they didn't put the port on the same side as the power so one cable on each side of machine for 99% of its life, face palm. My 2013 machine even got that one right. magsafe/hdmi/usb c port on one side would be all 99% of users needed 99% of the time.
Hello All- while some you make some valid points about the brand new 2021 14" & 16" MacBook Pro, the unfortunate bottom line is that NO tech product is perfect & that it also can't check off all the boxes for everyone for everything. I am just looking forward to replacing my 2011 15" MBP, because to me the 2021 MBP looks great to me.
Lmao people still use HDMI when you have access to DisplayPort... ok.

It's 2021, people usually use one Thunderbolt cable for charging, multiple displays, etc. No need to have 2 cables from both sides :-)
HDMI port is there probably for cases when you need to present something where old beamer is only available.
Further proof that you can slap an Apple logo on a turd and people will still pay between $2000 and $6000.
but after so many generations of manufactured laptops, too many mistakes are on the run
