Title: Back from the dead: Windows 10 Mobile appears in Marvel's latest blockbuster movie
Post by: Redaktion on July 13, 2021, 23:01:16
It has been a long time since we've registered any signs of life from Microsoft's mobile version of Windows 10, which has been discontinued due to the overwhelmingly dominant competition from Apple and Google. Nevertheless, the failed operating system has now surprisingly made its way to the big screen.

The intro scene of the movie is in 1995. Then the action happens 21 years later, i.e. in 2016. Windows phones were alive and kicking.

"Neither Windows Phone nor Windows 10 Mobile could conquer a noteworthy piece of Apple's iOS and Google's Android market share."

This is fake news, tho. WP did have more market share than iOS between 2012-2014 in Europe and other markets around the world. It was only in the US where it stagnated (like the old Nokia also did), and that was the main reason Microsoft gave up.
