Yet another OnePlus Nord 2 has gone up in flames. The phone reportedly exploded spontaneously even though it wasn't charging or in use at all. Unlike the previous case, however, OnePlus may find this incident difficult to sweep under the carpet, as the owner of the exploded Nord 2 is a lawyer who looks set file charge that will discontinue sales of the Nord 2 entirely.

I like your name! I used to call the 11th Gen "Boiling Lake"
As for the post - I find it a tad strange that all these devices keep blowing up in India. Maybe it's just them being used to posting about it online, or maybe the devices simply weren't built properly for the local climate?
What apps were installed on the phone? Did it have adequate cooling on it. Had it been left out in the sun? Lots of questions to ask
It's because oneplus can't get the phones to stop overheating. My OnePlus 9 pro overheats everday
I own a OnePlus Nord N10 5G and it was such a glitchy overheating phone I had to buy another phone and threw that one in the trash where it belongs. I have had good luck with all other OnePlus phones in the past though.
I had a OnePlus 7Pro for 8 months. That thing would get so hot just reading the news or playing a game. Then it would over heat and glitch. The phone was highly recommended on tech sites. 😐 Never buying OnePlus again. Hope the author of the article is ok, that's horrible.
I wonder if he paid attention to those notifications that warn you when an app is running and draining the battery.
Yes, safeguards should be on place to prevent explosions but I buy things an expect 1/3 of them to be defective. When I buy phones, CPUs, video cards I put them through a whole host of stressful benchmarks to see if they at least throttle properly. My OnePlus 7 Pro has been through many such stress tests in the last two and a half years and I shut off apps that I get warned are draining the battery and it still runs like a champ.
The least the lawyer could do is find an unbiased, independent team to see why the phone got all explodey.
This is the price of start using Meadiateck processors..Why only Nord 2 Explode in OnePlus line?
