The Intel Tiger Lake-U series may be over a year from the big time, but plenty of information about the 10 nm Ice Lake-U successor has appeared online. Last month we saw a UserBenchmark listing and now an Intel GFX CI bootlog spotted by @InstLatX64. It seems that Intel has a lot planned for Tiger Lake-U, but will it be enough to keep AMD at bay?

While some of the features of Tiger Lake sound nice like the extra L3. I'd rather buy in at Ice Lake. Their new GPUs are more than likely to run into issues until all the vendors update their software and Intel fixes up their drivers.
If I buy into ice lake, by the time I'm in the market for a new laptop, these caveats will be sorted out.
TigerLake is slated for 2020 launch. Also, it was known for some time now that it will have cache improvements, so no news here. I expect it to be another 5-10% IPC improvement on a better 10nm process (hopefully), with the iGPU being the big surprise, based on Xe graphics.
They need to push this product on the market as fast as possible, since IceLake is a bit of a letdown from an efficiency standpoint (and also thermal as we saw in your review).
@fdsofldmos - again, it is too early to call ice lake thermals because only example was a dell. Pretty much all Dell laptops have TERRIBLE thermals, not just ice lake ones.
