Title: Samsung launches the 980 PRO SSD globally
Post by: Redaktion on September 22, 2020, 21:27:19
The 980 PRO NVMe M.2 is a new Samsung SSD designed for high-performance PCs - and, according to all its leaks, the Playstation 5. Its maker has finally formally unleashed it on the world. Its ultra-high read and write speeds have been confirmed by the OEM, as has its PCIe 4.0 support.

Saw this immediately after the Xbox ssd article and the stupidity of that article is excarberated by this one. If this costs $89.99 for 256Gb, at the minimum it will match the XBox ssd price (if the leak is accurate).

I fully expect the 1Tb to exceed $199.99 though as prices roughly double in line with capacities.
