Title: HP 350 G1 Notebook Review
Post by: Redaktion on November 19, 2014, 05:42:15
Work computer. A matte screen, good battery life, a comfortable keyboard, maintenance hatches and an unoccupied mSATA slot -- clearly, HP wants to stake their claim on the market for inexpensive office devices. With their 350-G1 line, they may very well have succeeded.

Can we replace the main HDD with a SSD and install OS in it? I mean instead of in mSATA.

You're all wrong about this laptop's ability to run OS from msata. I'm sending that message from windows 8.1 installed on such SSD. I don't say it was easy, but hey, it was worth the effort! It was only the matter of correct settings in BIOS. Even Intel Rapid Start Technology was configurable here, so my OS starts in seconds. Exactly in 4 seconds! :)

Hey, Kamil! I have this exact model and I am thinking about replacing the dvd drive with a SSD one. Which one do you recommend? I am looking to buying a Kingston one. What do you think?
