So you say it could be because of some updates.
How can you be sure that these updates wouldn't affect negatively also the i5 which you tested before?
I'm trying to decide if the i7 would give me advantages for Ableton and video editing.
If the updates affected the i7 wouldn't they affect the i5 too, making it anyway slower than the i7?
