This high end hardware seems more suitable for something like the A90 series such as an A93 or Galaxy Quantum 3. Hard to believe a 50 series might get an 888.
With all the midrange devices receiving Snapdragon 888 (Moto G200, Honor X40 GT, Galaxy M54) one can only wonder if Qualcomm made too many of those and couldn't sell them all.

They're cheaping out on both display and main camera, so it's hardly unbelievable.
