The recently elected mayor of New York City, Eric Adams, has received his first paycheck in cryptocurrency earlier this week via Coinbase's Direct Deposit. Thanks to the Bitcoin & Ethereum combination that was transferred to his wallet, he became the first mayor of the Big Apple to be paid using crypto.
