Title: Qualcomm and MediaTek might not release 3 nm SoCs this year due to high TSMC costs, insider sources claim
Post by: Redaktion on January 10, 2023, 14:47:48
Apple is aiming to be the first to release 3 nm mobile processors later this year, despite the high production costs imposed by TSMC. Other SoC producers such as Qualcomm and MediaTek have not yet confirmed any 3 nm products for this year, and insider sources suggest that the increased manufacturing costs could prevent them to adopt 3 nm tech this year.

Those models were released in November 2022 with N4 tech. Companies usually plan to release new models each year, so next gen is expected for November 2023, but they might not use 3 nm tech.
