New supposed iGPU performance capabilities for AMD's Ryzen 7000 Zen 4-based "Phoenix" APUs have pitted the upcoming chips at around the same level as a GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU. These "Phoenix" 5-nm processors are destined for use in thin and light laptops thanks to their low power requirements.

It seems like a waste to place these APUs in mobile computers but instead, inject this power into handheld consoles.
Imagine the next SteamDeck, etc. powered by a 3060/3060Ti/6600xt/6700-ish APU?!!! 😱
1- 6600XT and 6600 both have more than double memory bandwidth than highest clocked LPDDR5 and DDR5
2- Tom's Hardware speculation is purely based on number of CU, max Tflops. This already flawed comparison
If you want to speculate how 6900HS APU perform based on CU and Max clock, you would think that it would destroy GTX 1650 easily
But we already have benchmarks and we know than 6900HS can't even match GTX 1650 Max-q in gaming (according to techspot review)

Indeed, iGPU benefits the most from "faster" RAM. Theoretically, AMD could increase bandwidth. It would be feasible with soldered chips to have four 64 bit channels, giving you 256 bits wide memory bus.
