Wie der Branchenverband Bitkom berichtet, gibt es einen Rekord bei App-Downloads. So wurden 2012 mehr als 1,7 Milliarden Apps in Deutschland heruntergeladen. 83 Prozent der Smartphone-Nutzer installieren zusätzliche Programme. Zwei Drittel nutzt kostenlose Apps.
