The Ryzen 5 APU is already available on desktops, but its implementation onto notebooks appears to have carried no major performance downgrades in the process.

Okay, SOOOOOOOO many things wrong with this article. For one: the R5 1600 and R71700 are NOT APUs as they do not have a iGPU, nor are they mobile versions!!! In the laptop in question, ASUS uses a full DESKTOP grade CPU in a full AM4 socket. To sit there and call them two different things is disingenuous and misleading. The reason it may be a bit slower is because that TDP is rather high for a laptop, due to it being a full desktop vatiant.
