Several iPad users are complaining about accelerated battery drain when the tablet is paired with the keyboard. One user lost nearly 25% battery during two hours of continuous keyboard use. The problem appears to be software agnostic as it persists on the beta and stable version of iPadOS.

Magic sure does increase power consumtion ...
It's funny even something as ordinary as a BT keyboard with magnets can be labeled as magical ;)

It isn't a bluetooth keyboard at all. It uses the iPads battery through the smart connectors, but isn't bluetooth.
