Title: Asus sends the ROG Phone II to Android developers
Post by: Redaktion on December 25, 2019, 13:35:03
It's a happy holiday indeed for some kernel- and custom ROM-developers out there. Their Xmas packages for this year reportedly contain an Asus ROG Phone II. The OEM has done so to try and unleash the potential of Android on this powerful mobile gaming device.

I hope Asus made money out of this model, retention of functionality is a rare feat these days.

If ASUS can even get the notification LED on the front to RELIABLY work for all apps, that alone will be a big improvement. I don't understand them. They gave a LED on the front AND the back (ASUS logo) but it doesn't work for all apps, only a certain list of ASUS-whitelisted apps. Even for text messages (SMS), it sometimes works, but stops blinking after a while, or doesn't work at all.
