Latest rumors claim that current gen Pascal GPUs have already been discontinued and the GTX 2000 family is not powered by Volta chips, but by Ampere ones.

GTX 2000? So we might get GTX10000 in 8-9 years?When the name is becoming mouthful to pronounce, it's time to make new naming scheme.

I don't understand why it isn't the 11 series... Isn't 1100 logical? But I guess it doesn't matter, it's not like I could afford one.
