Title: Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ (Plus) 5G review – Expensive high-quality 12.4-inch tablet
Post by: Redaktion on October 13, 2023, 00:22:29
If the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 has too little storage and the Tab S9 Ultra is too expensive, Samsung also offers an alternative with up to 512 GB of storage and a 12.4-inch display with the Galaxy Tab S9+. Is this the "golden middle"? We find out in our test.

Expensive... and hurtful for eyes (PWM @ 120 Hz).

How can you give this tablet a 91% score with this PWM that bad?
"""However, we detected screen flickering at a frequency of 240 Hz during our tests. From 30 per cent screen brightness, the frequency drops to 120 Hz, corresponding to the refresh rate."""

Its about time this is taken into account into the scores and also mentioned more in the 'CONS' section especially with these low frequency...

As usual this will be compleatly ignored....

Just don't tell 'PWM sensitive' people every light source in their house flickers at 50/60Hz.

Nice oversimplification there. Light bulb flicker rate is two times the 50/60 Hz AC rate, so 100/120 Hz. And the Hz is only one part of the equation - amplitude matters. Displays can do hard 100 % on/off-cycle while light bulbs can do a modest 10 % cycle, so the flicker isn't anywhere near as noticeable. Also, especially in the past there's been some terrible lamps in this regard.

This is also something Notebookcheck should incorporate into their test - as is the scale is missing.

Unless someone has epilepsy usually 'PWM sensitivity' is hypochondria or misinterpreted symptoms of other sicknesses/behavioral changes. If you don't tell them most of the time they have no symptoms.
