Sony has finally announced the Xperia PRO's price, and it is absurd when compared to the going-rate of modern flagship smartphones. Comparing the Xperia PRO against professional-grade camera monitors puts the smartphone in a better light, but it is still effectively just an Xperia 1 II with an HDMI input.

Better to get a $100 Elgato Cam Link and connect your DLSR/mirrorless camera to it to see on a 12 or 13 inch laptop.

Let's agree that this phone isn't for everybody. If you think it is too expensive, then it is too expensive for you. I think that is why it's called "PRO".
