Title: Anker 778 Thunderbolt Docking Station (12-in-1, Thunderbolt 4) now available

Anker has revealed the 778 Thunderbolt Docking Station (12-in-1, Thunderbolt 4), now available in the US and the UK. The gadget can charge the connected laptop at up to 100 W and connect to up to four displays at 4K@60Hz. Other ports include two 30 W USB-C and four USB-A ports with data transfer rates up to 5 Gbps.

You need to call out what Thunderbolt bridge chip is being used in these docks. For the coin they are asking for these things, I don't think that is asking too much.

It makes absolutely no sense to invest in TB4 docking stations in 2023 - TB5 comes out in 2024 with a bandwidth of 120Gbit/s, which is 3 times more than TB4. Money down the drain...

If you are always waiting for tomorrow, you will never get to enjoy today.

Why do you need "3 times more"?  Are you doing some workload that won't succeed without it?  Buy what you need.  If you don't need the current greatest, one generation back can save a lot of money.  Buy current if you need some future-proofing because you expect to use something for a long time.  Don't sit around waiting for tomorrow, or you will forever be waiting.
