Title: Leaked AMD Ryzen benchmarks show close competition with Intel
Post by: Redaktion on February 15, 2017, 16:28:01
Benchmarks for AMD's new Ryzen 7 1700X chip have appeared on SiSoft SANDRA's benchmarking leaderboards. The chip, which may be pre-production and not fully optimized, gives a strong showing against several Xeon chips, the i7-6900K, and i7-7700K.

It takes AMD an 8 cores CPU to go against Intel's 4 cores 7700K ?
How not impressive...

8 core AMD benching the same as the 4 core Intel? If all cores are 100% utilised then this is a disaster.

I think there's something else going on here, doesn't seem to match up with other info regarding single core performance in any case.
