Title: Our Core i9 verdict: It’s just not worth it on laptops
Post by: Redaktion on February 22, 2019, 19:09:49
With almost a dozen Core i9-8950HK laptops under our belt, we have a pretty good idea about how these unlocked CPUs can perform. Average CPU performance is just 8 to 9 percent faster than the average Core i7-8750H laptop for a disappointing first year debut.

The conclusions are great. Cooling is ALWAYS the issue....

I di super heave loads. 3-4 Virtual Machines (Hyper-X) running very active SQL Servers, Visual Studio Builds, and other items that stress performance.

My last to machines actually had hardware meltdowns (I screen burned and detached, once case worked so much that botton right quarter of keyboard along with touch pad is unusable....

Ideas?
