Broadwell? Why wouldn't Microsoft use Skylake processors?

MS sould provide Skylake Core M and U CPU series and not Broadwell.
Since it will been released in Autumn there's no excuse using old architecture since from August according to Intel Skylake will be on market across several OEM proposal.

I am going to give it a try.

ThinkPad Yoga 12 and Surface was candidates but 3/2 screen won the battle for surface.
