Title: Apple set to finally introduce better webcams across its products, starting with next-generation MacBook Pros

A leak claims that Apple has decided to move away from its dreadful 720p FaceTime HD cameras. Apparently, Apple will start with next-generation MacBook Pro models before expanding the webcam refresh through its product stack.

Dreadful 720p camera? Uhh have you seen a Dell XPS's (their top of the line model's camera)? Dollar store webcams work better.

Dreadful sounds like it's unusable, while my Air's camera is much better than my Yoga Slim 7 camera. A lot better.

2020 M1 MacBooks' webcam looks better than the competition thanks to ARM video processing. By contrast most 720p webcams on laptops use no processing making them look like bad 480p.

1080p is nice, 1440p@60 would have been better. Hopefully HP sets a trend with their new 1440p webcam on EliteBooks.
