According to Schenker, the XMG Pro 16 Studio is a "professional workstation for content creation". The specs fit: Core i9, an RTX 4070, Thunderbolt 4 and a 16:10 display (QHD+, 240 Hz). A vapor chamber supposedly ensures optimum heat dissipation and quiet cooling.

Again, the German manufacturer shot himself in the leg already at the design stage of the laptop - instead of shifting the arrow keys block from main block of keyboard, as usual this made in Lenovo Legions, they simply ruined the numpad, immediately putting the red cross on the laptop, as a universal decision for the house and work.

Go ahead. There are no special claims to the ports. Everything is fine except 2 audio jacks on the left - why not make the second 4 pin nest on the right symmetrically the first? With the automatic function of the detect (or manual choice in the audio -oreist) inserted equipment?

The screen is generally mediocre, most of all in poor native contrast. Why this is bad - again you need to look at the laptop in the complex..

The processor is frankly weak and its performance is even worse than that of AMD 7940HS. With a seemingly not very lifted PL1/PL2 level (and PL2 does not even correspond to Intel specifications, where at least 115W is recommended), the laptop is very noisy.

Monstrous heating - this model cannot be used categorically with a closed screen lid, playing on an external monitor - the screen panel will simply fail at such high temperatures at the keyboard level. Play also apparently extremely uncomfortable on the built -in keyboard with 55C+ ...

In games, this model is no longer able to provide the minimum sufficient 60FPS without drops in game's releases of 2023, in native resolution, then it will be worse, which means the model is 100% not playing.

The memory tuning seems to be a not bad - bandwidth higher than 70GB/s for r/w/c, but for overkloker's setup with 5600 ram modules (13900 officially supports only 5200), this is a little weak..

What do we have at the exit? It is definitely not a "game" laptop in a native resolution. Weak processor for 2023. A mediocre screen and a spoiled numpad, which leads to the impossibility of effective work with blind input from the keyboard.

And a monstrous price of 2256 euros.

Something tells me that only local patriots buy it. Like the previously considered model. The price should be 1.5 times lower, or all these deficiencies are resolved.

Desktop 4080 can't provide 60 fps maxed in many 2023 games in QHD and higher. That's why there is DLSS. Or, alternatively, you can buy a 4090 which is equally expensive as this whole laptop here or you can wait 5 years for GPUs to get to that level of performance to play 2023 games native in 2028 with no upscaling.

Lol.

Excellent review. My comment is for Combrig decision to all new releases not to provide plastic/metal rods for the main mast or the various yardarms. Not everyone have access to Evergreen
