Thought you knew what AMD was planning for its Renoir processors? Better known as the Ryzen 4000 series, AMD has already confirmed Ryzen 3, Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 4000U SKUs. However, there is now evidence of there being a Ryzen 9 chip, specifically the Ryzen 9 4900U. A mere typo, perhaps? Well, that seems unlikely too.

Additional CUs, perhaps. The 3700U had 10 CUs while the 4800U has 8.
I'd really like a 4900U with 11 CUs and a TDPup of 25W.
Imagine a 16core 4900u ;D ;D ;D
Maybe it has 64 cores. At 500Mhz.
i smell a shitty branding scheme, nothing more.

Those CUs are different, much higher clock speeds, so 8 will be faster than 11 from last gen.
Buy yeah, it can work that way, last gen they did 3780u surface edition APU with better graphics.
