HP's Spectre x360 13 is a premium compact convertible powerful enough for day to day tasks and challenges and equipped with a highly reflective 1080p display that could have been brighter.

I do not understand the high mark of 78% for the very dim, glossy, PWM flickering screen? When looking for a notebook or monitor i consider the screen quality first, everything else second.

Of critical importance, which power scheme was this benchmarked at?
HP has custom settings so unless it was set to performance then the benchmark results aren't comparable!
Have to say very disappointed that this review took so long to be published and then goes and misses a CRITICAL point.
Btw, Spectre x360 13" is also available with a 4k screen of better quality than the stock FHD.
The cooling solution was improved for this year, one of a few 13" laptops with dual fans, so the poor showing does surprise.
I bought this laptop in May 2017 for my wife and since then i have rarely used this laptop. My wife only used to check emails and surfing , in total we had used this laptop less than 30-40 hours since we bought it and stored perfectly in a case without a single scratch or damage. Last time we used this laptop was month ago. Yesterday when we tried to use it it didn't turn on and we plugged into charger and tried to use today, still didn't power on. I tried all the troubleshooting steps - Pressing Power for 15 seconds and also other methods suggested in call with HP.
Later i was told this would be motherboard issue and will take 490$ to replace it - and they will give me discount of 150$.
My question is how can a high end product like this just stops working all of sudden even after rarely being used ?
I searched the internet and found this is common problem with HP Spectre laptops.
I would have paid 350$ if i had used this laptop regularly , i have no idea how it stopped working when sitting idle for months.
i feel like being cheated and would like to stay away from HP products if this is what i get from spending 1000$+ on such HP products.
