Ob als Reaktion auf das Galaxy Note 7-Desaster oder aus rein wirtschaftlichen Gründen, Samsung soll jedenfalls beim Galaxy S8 auf seine eigenen Akkus setzen und zusätzlich auf einen japanischen Lieferanten zurückgreifen.
