Amazon unveiled a new Kindle Oasis that uses a front light with an adjustable color temperature. The Oasis, which goes on sale July 24th, is still one of the most expensive eReaders on the market, starting at $250. While the adjustable color temperature is nice for night readers, other manufacturers (namely Kobo) have offered this feature for years.

The 8GB in this time and day is outrageous. I'll just use my iPP and Marginnote to read PDFs. The impressive black levels of the screen and inverted color mode of the app is even better than night mode, I could read for hours without eyestrain receiving less than 1lux of light which is far less than what disrupts circadian rhythms , and the battery even used for years is still plenty for reading.
Come on, Amazon. Still no USB-C? It's such a practical connector!
