This is not the fastest quantum computer to date, as Google already has a 72-qubit computer and is working on even better ones, but IBM intends to make the new 53-qubit model the fastest commercially available prototype this October. This way, more clients can access the quantum processing power and provide solutions to problems that cannot be solved via traditional computing methods.
