With the upcoming optional KB5007262 update, Microsoft finally fixes a frustrating Windows 11 bug which significantly reduced the random write speeds of both SSDs as well as conventional hard drives.

Is the file system's journaling feature itself is the problem, and the fix turns off journaling? That would be bad! Or was journaling badly implemented?
