Title: Razer launches a more budget-oriented Blade 15 gaming laptop with some big caveats
Post by: Redaktion on December 08, 2020, 15:04:58
The new Razer 15 Base Edition variant has the same main specs as the previous $1,599.99 models. However, for $100 less, Razer also eliminated features like the Thunderbolt 3 connector, Wi-Fi 6 and Etherment, and the new model also comes with a slightly smaller battery plus a 120 Hz screen.

Soon to be very, very outdated. Frankly these specs look like $1000-1200 anyway, before accounting for the lack of TGL and Ampere.

Razer is smoking something while pricing this pointless "budget" option.

Whatever they're smoking they've been at it for a long time.

$1200 will get you a 2060 or 1070. i7, 1660Ti, 60Wh is more like $700 for a Clevo / Tongfang chassis with a holiday discount, and some of those even come with Ryzen 5/7.

Well, we can't really compare Razer to Clevo, the rest of the package is still better.
