Sony has confirmed that the PlayStation 5 Showcase event will take place on September 16. It will likely focus on some current and yet-to-be-announced exclusive titles that will launch alongside the console. Most importantly, we'll finally get to know how much the PlayStation 5 will cost.

Sony will at least match the price of the XSX. I dont understand how the author thinks the ps5 will cost more.
I was under the impression that Sony were the market leaders and dominant in gaming. If they have to wait for Microsoft and follow their lead then they really don't deserve to be called leaders. They only seek to capitalize on the media and gaming community's reaction to Microsoft's announcements and have zero initiative. They will match Xbox series X price not because that's what they wish to sell it at but ONLY because Microsoft set that price.
