Panasonic's Chief Technology Officer, Shoichiro Watanabe, has told Reuters that the company is planning to increase the energy density of its batteries by 20% by 2030. The Tesla supplier explained that new additives would help it to achieve enhanced performance. This technology could add over 100 km (~62 miles) range to a Tesla Model Y.

Batteries have definitely nothing to do in a car
