Nothing has brought the Nothing Phone (1) to North America. While the smartphone is available for a mere US$299, there are some caveats that you should be aware of before picking up Nothing's first smartphone.

I think you guys submitted this article a bit too quickly, as it appears you're missing an entire section of info.

QuoteIn short, it seems that the company is gauging US demand for releasing a Nothing smartphone.

Makes sense. Release a partially functional product to gauge demand, because basing demand on a product people won't buy because they don't want something that sort-of works due to only partial compatibility is a completely logical thing to do. Genius.

Made in China. Why spend $299 on a weapon weaponizable piece of electronic gear that was made with approval of the PRC government, and then send all your data through it, when you can manage to cause approximately the same level of potential self-harm by spending just $14.99 on a wireless router on China'zon?

Depends on who you need to fear more, Chinese government or your own government.
