Title: The 16.1-inch Pavilion Gaming 16 is HP's newest family member for gamers on a budget
Post by: Redaktion on June 02, 2020, 14:01:26
No, it's not the world's first 16-inch gaming laptop, but it's certainly one of the few and most affordable. The HP Pavilion Gaming 16 will ship before the end of June for a starting price of $799.

That's all well and good but would love to see them make a 14" model instead, get rid of that number pad and put a set of top firing speakers and with a decent panel

Normally I hate it when manufacturers try to jam in a useless numpad on a laptop, but damn, these guys did it right, with a double wide zero key and double tall enter key.   And they did it by going almost edge to edge on the laptop.  No extra inch on both sides of the keyboard.

I hope HP fixes that annoying "feature" where the backlit keyboard turns off after a few seconds - You cannot make it stay on constantly under any circumstances. Please give us some control over this.

Way these companies don't go AMD? What is wrong with them?. Just been forced to take intel..it will be great if there is an AMD version.

I think we have a lot of AMD offers out in the market this year, Asus, MSI, Lenovo, Acer and HP have at least 20-30% of their portfolio bassed on AMD and keep in mind that today AMD share on Gaming notebooks is less then 20% so I would say that the offering is fair enough.

most of notebook vendors offer this in order to deliver more hours of battery, in my case it turns off only if I dont use it. Is it different for you?

Most laptops with backlit keyboards allow the user to keep the lighting on constantly with settings. Timeout is fine to save battery, gut user should have control.
