Nope. As far as I know. But exercise pause is very easy to put on: Press lower button (if default) and then upper. Done.

Keep in mind that those that are using WIN based devices will continue to do so and those that use Apple based devices will continue to do so.

Sure, if all your using your computer for is some casual surfing and/or media streaming a TABLET might be a better fit.

I regularly find myself "out in the wild" taking pictures and processing them on my laptop. (generally for 2-4 nights)
 
Then I have a choice as to upload them to my Social Media & cloud while out in the wild OR wait until I get home. I guess it all depends on how good (or NOT!) of a Cell connection I'm getting.

Keep in mind that MANY/MOST of these "battery run times" have DRASTIC 'power saving' features MAXIMIZED and most of us simply disable many/most of it and/or adjust the 'shut off timers' so it is not annoying.

Back in the days when I was working many of the staff were going from one meeting room to another all day for +10hrs (all without plugging in, lest they would be competing with others for outlets!).

So some of the WIN driven devices can keep up with the Apple stuff? Its about time.

I have a number of iPads (4) including one Pro that uses the Apple M1.

I've found no use or compelling reason to "upgrade" it to M2, M3 and surely not M4!

Sure, fine - I'm retired but even when working none of my Apple products were ever involved in my work. (like MOST of us, the Company I worked for PROVIDED IT resources for me to do THEIR work on which did not involve Apple products)

Camera bodies don't have to be huge and heavy (don't forget COSTLY!!).

Over the years it has come down to 3 things:

- Larger sensors generally have less noise and are more sensitive in low light
- DOF & FOV the required glass for replicating ether or both from the larger format camera systems in the smaller format systems is generally non-existent
- It is all about the available glass. While bodies will come and go some mounts have WAY more lens selection and competition then others.

Pm doesn't work for my Galaxy Watch 5 pro.

It's my understanding that the current smartphone telephoto lens technology uses periscope lenses which need to be fairly long to accommodate the many lense elements required.  Unless there is some significant change in lense technology high magnification telephoto lenses will continue to only be available in larger phones. The upside is that the larger phone will have a larger screen and in most cases a larger battery in the larger case.       

LOL comments that x86 can be magically more efficient. Yeah sure, they just decided for the last 20 years they didn't want to make their cpu's efficient.

ARM is inherently more efficient because it's a RISC architecture vs x86 being CISC. When it comes to handling memory, ARM processors operate with register-based processing, limiting direct memory access to also improve energy efficiency, while x86 architectures allow more direct interaction with memory, allowing complex computational tasks at the expense of higher power consumption.

Of course, finally we are seeing attempts by Intel to make x86 more efficient, but at this stage it's all hype and we have to wait for Lunar Lake to see if they can actually deliver on that hype. Meteor lake was also hyped to be more efficient and that is total BS. Currently, in performance per watt ARM is light-years ahead.

Of course it's not worth the hype. Apple has provided no compelling case for the NPU, the price is ridiculous, they feature cripple lower tiers, the OS is worthless for real work and wastes the potential of the M4 chip. Buy the iPad Air, or a Macbook Air which is far better value.
