Title: Fairphone 2 Smartphone Review
Post by: Redaktion on November 28, 2016, 20:29:19
Good conscious. Fairphone's 2 promotes fair labor conditions and sustainability rather than exploitation and waste. With its to-date unique to the smartphone world modular design that easily allows replacing components, the 5-inch Android takes a different approach than its rivals in all other aspects, as well.

"Secondly, Fairphone's 2 also has to compete with Huawei's P9 and Samsung's Galaxy S7 that are in a similar price range as the review sample." Please tell me where I can find an S7 for 250 euros?? I know it was probably a typo, I just had to point it out.

Hello,

thank you for this, as usual, very clear and complete review.
I think you might have missed one point that for some users might be of high significance.
Fairphone has recently released what they call Fairphone Open as an alternative to Fairphone OS. Fairphone Open is fully open source, transparent and free of intrusive Google services. It allows its users to root their phone in one click, and can be very easily installed from Fairphone's website.
More details here (https://code.fairphone.com/projects/fp-osos/)!

This "feature" is very unique I feel, and for me is a priceless asset.

Thank you for your work,

Jevatco
