Title: Slowing sales of mid-range 8GB GPUs reportedly pushing VRAM constrained boards out of consumer consideration
Post by: Redaktion on May 10, 2023, 15:39:00
According to a recent report by 3DCenter, consumers are seemingly moving away from buying GPUs with 8 GB RAM as users are apparently choosing cards with more than 8 GB of memory. 3DCenter's analysis is based on the sales data collected by TechEpiphany from German retailer MindFactory.

Indeed and the same is valid for laptops that Nvidia VRAM discriminates. I guess my 3 year update period will have to be extended.

No, it's not the VRAM. It's the ridiculous prices. A mid-range can't be more than 300€. As simple as that. Let alone 600-1000€.

Yes indeed we need more RAM. AMD trolled Nvidia that gives not too much VRAM, and now it does the same thing.
