News / Re: Leaks reveal pricing and s...

You can't see the prices anywhere.
I'm looking for a light ultrabook and looking on YouTube I came up with a product that seems perfect for those who want it all and can take full advantage of the MINISFORUM V3, which is the competition for the Surface 10 Pro.
I would like this website to be able to make a comparison without manipulation of these two products.

Liebe Redaktion, bitte nehmt Euch ein Beispiel an dieser PWM-Bewertung oder arbeitet mit dem Autor zusammen:

"The first phone I tested was the Xperia 1 V which has always been easiest on my eyes. Remember modulation (the difference between peak brightness and low brightness for each flicker) is just as important as the flicker rate. The lower the modulation the better. Lets take a look at Sony's modulation at different levels."

200 grams is making such difference from portable to not portable? Time to hit a gym perhaps?
Well @ 2.1kg it was already obese for a thin and light gaming laptop, now being 2.3kg, that's the same weight as the GP/GE series of MSI, that are desktop replacements, starting at a more affordable price!
Ok, fair, but check this from 05/27/2017: Lenovo Legion Y520 15IKBN (7700HQ, FHD, GTX 1050 Ti) Laptop Review

"Partially thanks to its plastic construction, the Y520 is among the lighter of the 15.6-inch gaming notebooks in its class. We measured a total weight of just 2.524 kg."

So in only 7 years we went from "just 2.5 kg" being very light to 2.3 kg (and far more powerful laptop) being very heavy? Plus the fact that back in 2011-2012 3.3 kg 15.6" was "extremely lightweight for its specs". So did we collectively grew to be physically so weak or what?

Agreed. These ranges are roughly double what most other PHEVs offer. Not only that, the charge speed is also miles (per hour) ahead of the competition, even not counting the DCFC support!

For comparison, the 2024 Toyota Prius Prime lists 44 miles AER and is burdened by a woefully-anachronistic charging limit of 3.5kW. The Golf vehicles here will not force drivers who wish to use public charging to occupy the stations for the disproportionate amounts of time that the Toyota Prius Prime does.

Of course, critical questions remain regarding the percentage of the battery pack's total capacity these two new vehicles allow the driver to use, as well as the cell chemistry. These factors will influence how often they should actually be charged to the 100% displayed SoC that would enable these quoted ranges.

Quote from: Ken R on Today at 14:33:50I cancelled last year selling the hardware, I was a full-time RVr fir a while just can't justify the cost even where I purchased a house I'm in a $90 zone, but have access to cable Internet 4x faster for half the price of starlink, if I could turn in on and off by the day and only pay for 24 hour blocks I would keep it for trips and camping, Elon basically gaslighted people about the pricing of the service since day one! It was supposed to get More Affordable as the service grew and more birds were launched, if he doesn't get over himself soon the competition will bite back quickly!

Why would it get cheaper as more satellites are launched? The more that are launched the higher the cost to SpaceX. There are only a few things that can reduce price:

1. More users using the service would split the costs more

2. Government funding to lower the investment cost (that got denied recently)

3. The whole network going up + time, albeit since the network lasts only 5-6 years before needing relaunching, the gain would be limited

4. Lowering of capital costs (like starship being finished allowing to launch more at a lower price)

5. Yes, competition, albeit only because SpaceX would have to take bigger losses to secure the market

QuoteJust like the Tesla has turned into a big Flop one little bump and you have totaled the car. Batteries are to expensive to repair or replace, they wind up in a EV boneyard adding the environmental issues more than ICE vehicles. In so glad I resisted buying a Tesla . Tine to get rid of the little white dishy.

That is mostly an insurance issue where the insurance company lacks expertise to judge, thus they choose to total the car if they don't have the expertise. These things sort themselves out with time. Same for battery prices as they continue to drop in price

PS I don't think you have to worry about an EV in a boneyard, they don't last there long as they are a favorite of scrappers to use for projects, especially the batteries

Apple recently revamped its iPad Pro lineup with the new M4 SoC and tandem OLED displays. An early review from YouTuber Dave2D suggests positive impressions, with notable improvements in performance and display quality while retaining impressive battery life. The new Apple Pencil Pro with its squeeze feature was also well received by the reviewer.

The much-leaked Fujifilm X-T50 has finally been launched, and it is pretty much exactly what we expected. A cut-back Fujifilm X-T5 with a dollop of the X100VI's retro charm and a brand-new film simulation mode for JPEG-first shooting. It's also $400 more expensive than its predecessor.

The new Golf eHybrid and GTE have exceptional all-electric range. For comparison, this Kelly Blue Book table of 2024 PHEV all-electric ranges shows none above 45 miles.

[link prohibited by Notebookcheck.]

That headline still states "less than stellar range" and the text improperly compares it to a hybrid bicycle instead of to all the other PHEV vehicles. That really should be edited promptly, right?
