You could say Tim Cook a highly effective CEO, or you could say he is a world champion penny pincher. Under Cook, Apple has found every way it can to save a few cents here and there to increase or preserve profit margins and the latest device to get the Tim Cook penny pinching treatment is the just refreshed MacBook Air.

Gimped? I wouldn't buy this laptop myself, but this is still faster than any SATA-based SSD. I doubt users will have any issue with storage speed in this laptop.

I expect better from Notebook Check.

this year's model has 1 GB/s read speeds and just 1.3 GB/s read speeds....

In case you are being too hasty with the excitement to bash Apple....yeah sensational piece of news
