Im iPhone 11 hatte Apple erstmals den U1-Chip verbaut, der UWB-Support für eine bessere Distanzbestimmung in Innenräumen bringt und auch in der neuen Apple Watch 6 zu finden ist. Sowohl der kommende HomePod mini als auch das nächste Apple TV sollen zudem als UWB-Basestations neue Awareness-Features für Apple-Fans bringen.
