Title: A bevy of new Dell productivity monitors that include USB-C connections and 65 W power delivery
Post by: Redaktion on April 24, 2018, 15:39:40
Dell has been number one in monitor sales for 17 straight quarters, and they are looking to continue this trend with the announcement of seven new and refreshed monitors. Three of the new models stand out because of their USB-C connections, giving us an indication of future trends as we move towards possible universal usage of USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 replacing various other non-compatible data and display standards.

This would be great news, but my XPS 15 9560 has the worst GPU performance when charging at 65W over type-C. (About 50% of max performance)

Performance on battery is better (~65%), and with the original barrel connector charger is best. I wish there existed a 100W USB-PD charger that I could test with. Only some docks carry that much power.

what does the Tb16 dock using a 240W charger send over its USB C port ? Thats what we use as workstations here, and have not noticed a decrease in performance on the GPU.
