After the Cupertino-based company may not have landed a hit with its new external 5K monitor, Apple has now ensured that it will at least improve the lousy image quality of the integrated webcam in the Apple Studio Display with a future software update.

This display is using a years old panel with mediocre display metrics. It is not a significant advancement in display capability. All the additional extra features like camera, materials and software features are the only really innovative elements of the display. If these "extras" are not next generation performance, then there really is no point to this display.
Now just waiting for Apple and Samsung to create their next gen display with maybe QD-OLED; high speed, high resolution, high dynamic range, colour accurate.
