Title: 12.9-inch iPad Pro could have compatibility issues with previous-generation Magic Keyboards
Post by: Redaktion on April 23, 2021, 19:18:33
The new 12.9-inch iPad Pro is 0.5mm thicker than its predecessor. That extra thickness could cause the iPad screen to press on the keyboard a bit too tight. However, an older Magic Keyboard could still work with the new iPad Pro.

i think it has been said that the reason for the extra thickness is not because of the M1 chip. rather, it's the mini-led that added to the thickness. take the iPad Pro 11" 2021 for example.  thickness remained the same even with M1 chip.
