Post by: Redaktion on November 12, 2013, 19:57:49
Ultra ambitious. The Fujitsu Lifebook U554 has all the specs for an ultrabook, apart from the touchscreen. However, ambitions are not always enough: Is the subnotebook really a good companion? Find out in our in-depth review.

At this late date, September 2014, the Fujitsu Lifebook U554 seems to be the ONLY laptop still shipping with Windows 7, at least here in Norway.  For some of us, that is a plus.

The display is working perfectly and I got used to keyboard after using it constantly for a day or two. I purchased it for a bargain price of 700e in Finland (Oct.2014). Even the Win 8 was not an issue as uncomfortable things were easily fixed by installing additional software (e.g. Start Win 8) and bringing back the desktop of Win 7. The only drawback for me is the mouse left button. When the text is selected it is unselected immediately before copying it. External mouse "fixed" this. No additional adapters were included in my package.

It's a nice laptop with 3g module on board. The thing I don't like is sharp corners which make typing rather uncomfortable for palms.
