Hi guys,
You know, the point is Microsoft isn't that gamer friendly, in some countries, Microsoft online services for Xbox is not available , So I can hardly imagine someone who has tasted this bans from Microsoft, goes with Xbox once again, another  factor is that maybe a 500$ price tag is somewhat  affordable for consumers in North America or Europe, but In Asia which has a really big number of target consumers that price tag is high, so the price actually matters. The last factor is availability of games, here in Middle East  XBOX One games are very hard to find and if found, they are often overpriced so the win simply goes to Playstation.

Lol Microsoft doesn't have superior
financial strength they are no where near
valuable at $1 trillion their only worth in the
$ 200 billion or $ 300 billion dollar range an
by the way the naive, ignorant, oblivious author
does not seem to realize total assets indicates
how much a company is worth not market cap.

You're not as smart as you think you are. Most professional analyst put Microsoft around 500 billion net worth with Sony at 50 - 70 billion. There are multiple ways to determine a companies worth and Sony doesn't even come close to Microsoft and never will

Sony's yearly revenue alone is almost $80 billion USD (per 2018 and 2019). So are you suggesting their IPs have no value whatsoever and they're a purely commodity based business? Because that's what it sounds like here with your pathetic $50-70 billion USD estimate.

Sony not only has a video games division and an electronics division, they have a huge TV and film division that spans several languages and major markets, and they have a huge library of IPs across all their entertainment divisions. That alone would be in the $70 billion USD mark if not more.

Comcast paid $39 billion for Sky UK. Disney paid $71.3 billion for 21st Century Fox. Sony's IP and television reach is comparable to Fox's when you look at Sony's assets in Latin America and across the Asia Pacific. Then you factor in their video games and electronics divisions and their market dominance in the former, Sony is easily worth between $250 to $500 billion USD.

I don't think that the PlayStation 5 should be $499 to $599. Because no one is going to buy any Gamesystem that's worth buy a 499.99
But I say that the PlayStation 5 should only be at the price of $399.99, so that way people can afford to buy new games without needing to play online.
