Lenovo has updated the Xiaoxin Pro 27, which it now sells as the Xiaoxin Pro 27 2024. The new all-in-one PC (AIO) is available with a choice of Intel processors, a high-resolution display, modern connectivity, and plenty of ports, among other features.

Not bad. Would be cool if they matched the iMac's retina resolution, but it is what it is.

EDIT: I can at least appreciate their improvement on numerical-K terminology usage in contrast to other sellers of this resolution.

Bait with Fate

Don't iMac's use custom panels tho to get to that resolution? It maybe difficult for them to keep the price down without the economies of scale Apple have.

Apple has TB3+ ports. This is model no.
This model does NOT have an HDMI 2.1 port, because support for FRL6 mode is not indicated, only TMDS, which means that the Chinese are deceiving noobs by selling regular HDMI 2.0b under the guise of a 2.1 port.
Literally no one cares. It's a product specifically for China and China only.

Why aren't people living in China anymore? Remember the news headline? "Apple competitor"... so how is it a competitor with completely wretched solutions?

Lenovo is probably better aware than us here what do people in China want in their devices and what they don't really use, so they give them exactly that. Xiaoxin/Xiaoxin Pro was never being sold outside of China, nowhere (not counting tablets though, they are available worldwide). Same with this model here. Also from the article:

QuoteUnfortunately, Lenovo has not confirmed whether it intends to sell the AIO globally. For reference, the Xiaoxin Pro 27 2024 starts at CNY 5,199 (~$729) in China...

I don't think so, even if we assume that most of the Chinese are technically illiterate, there will always be people on social networks who are literate enough, like me, to point out to the masses the obvious forgery and deception on the part of the manufacturer. And information on social networks spreads at the speed of light, unless, of course, all such bloggers are corrupt and do not pay from Lenovo and other manufacturers (which is most often the case).
