Title: Experiencing performance loss after installing the Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 driver? Here's a possible workaround
Post by: Redaktion on December 12, 2019, 13:09:05
Several users have reported performance loss and/or loss of fan curve settings after installing the AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 drivers for AMD GPUs such as the Vega 64 and the RX 5700 XT. While the issue does not seem to be widespread at the moment, completely removing all traces of the previous driver using DDU and re-installing the new version looks to be a good workaround.

Adrenalin shrinks and fuzzes the cursor in all games, even microsoft solitaire. Once you exit the games the brain dead cursor remains. Each time I have to use <Settings>  <Devices> etc to reset the cursor. The shrunken cursor no longer activates where the tip points, but half a line lower.

Novabench rates the video card in the bottom 4% of its type. I would recommend not installing adrenalin under any conditions.
