Title: Asus Zenfone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro billed to feature swiveling camera module
Post by: Redaktion on July 10, 2020, 09:08:45
Asus claimed it would release the ROG Phone 3 and Zenfone 7 in July but while the ROG Phone 3 already has an official launch date, there's been little to no noise about the Zenfone 7. Until now. New information has now surfaced about the upcoming Zenfone 7 and the previously unheard of Zenfone 7 Pro.

Eeexcellent :D

Was a really big fan of the 6's design, am very likely to choose the 7 over the OnePlus Nord for my next upgrade!

Finalllly, some news on the Zenfone 7! Whatever happened to those leaks about a punch hole camera ?(https://www.notebookcheck.net/New-Asus-Zenfone-7-leak-shows-a-triple-camera-setup-dual-hole-punch-LCD-display.453185.0.html)
The swivel camera is awesome and really innovative but, I hope one of the variants has punchole selfie camera because some users reported issues with the swivel camera after long term use. I hope they keep the large battery and maybe make one variant a little compact.

Who knows. We'll get more concrete information over the next few weeks, hopefully.

great they decided to keep front camera being the same as main camera!

i really hope the pro version will be no-compromise, i want it to be better than iphone 12 pro max, and I'm sure ASUS can do that. I would buy it even at pro max price (I mean I'm going with ASUS because it is better, not because it's cheaper, and I hope they won't go with pro max price just for the sake of it, but proportionally to what zenfones can do at what cost. Hell, I think that zf6 is already better than iphone 11 pro max, even though it's less expensive, so i wonder what asus can actually do at price of ip12mp while not taking such huge provision apple does. Plus it's manufactured in taiwan, not in china)

Here's hoping it has a LONG lasting screen (so not an AMOLED then) and comes gimmick free (so no 'wireless' charging then). I'm a bit gutted the flip camera will be back as I really really wanted waterproofing this time as per the Zenfone 5 :(

If it has a headphone jack then I'm leaving OnePlus for this

Yeah, thanks for the update anyway. I was leaning towards the OnePlus Nord but it seems they'll launch the ZF 7 within a month, so I'll wait.  I mean OnePlus 8 specs and clean UI for hardly 100 bucks more than the Nord's price.
