Asus is one step closer to equipping its entire laptop portfolio with its innovative ScreenPad technology. The 14-inch ZenBook UX434 15 and 15-inch ZenBook 15 UX534 will each cost about $1400 with discrete graphics options ranging from the GeForce MX250 to the GTX 1650 Max-Q.

No way to be an alternative to XPS 13 with 16:9 low-res display option only. Make it 16:10 4K first.
You can get it in 3840x2160...Do some research. I can't post a link to the website but search for ASUS ZenBook 15 UX534FT and goto the ASUS Tech Spec page.
If only it has a brighter screen. Seems like all Asus laptops are not bright enough for outdoor use. On a tight budget, for bright screens, I'll go for AllDoCube Kbook, Thinker, Huawei MateBook 14. MateBook X Pro etc.
